from our home to yours.
We all have special Christmas memories that we like to keep close to our hearts and to share with others. You’ll find this blog more visual than written.
The Victorian Village at the top of this page was painted by our daughter Lisa before she passed in November 1997 at the age of twenty. She was meticulous with her painting as noted by each individual brick, each letter on the signs, and the happy faces on the townspeople. We can hardly wait to set it up each year. We’ve added the train and tracks because she had painted a Depot and the train seemed a natural addition.
We begin our journey with the star at the top of the tree—a tree loaded with special ornaments chosen with care through the years including a 25th Anniversary ornament and a 50th Anniversary ornament. I hope you enjoy the reading of “Twas the Night Before Christmas” by our Christmas bear.
Here are Santa and Mrs. Claus ice skating, a poinsettia, a Ferris wheel playing “Oh, Christmas Tree,” and our small collection of Santas.
Our puppy reminds us that “We Need a Little Christmas Now.”
There may not be snow outside this Christmas where we are, but our snowman comes from a winter wonderland.
Let us not forget, “For God so loved the world that He sent his only begotten son that whosoever believeth in Him might not perish but have everlasting life.”
